Responsibilities of a good citizen

RESPONSIBILITIES OF A GOOD CITIZEN
A good citizen is one who knows his rights and responsibilities as a citizen. We must know that rights and responsibilities are correlative. One’s right implies another’s duty and vice versa. A good citizen is free to organize his life, as he likes. But in actual practice, there are many restrictions on one’s freedom.

I cannot build it in the way I like. I cannot heave the reject of my house anywhere I like. I cannot walk in the middle of the road. I cannot play the radio loudly at night. If I have the right to do it, my neighbors have the right to sleep peacefully. If I am a good quality citizen, I will make an impact on some discipline on myself.

A good citizen respects law. He pays taxes promptly, fully and honestly. He does not offer bribes. He pays attention to illiteracy and poverty.
A self-seeking man can not at all be a good citizen. If he is selfish or ignorant, he does not know which rights to defend and which duties to perform.
