The policeman paragraph

THE POLICEMAN

The policeman is a useful government servant.  He is employed to serve the public and help the government in its smooth run. He is an indispensable organ of a government. More righty, without him no government can run.

Like other forces and agencies of government, it has a particular uniform. It consists of Khakhi Pant, a black shirt, a cap with a monogram. He wears a leather belt, having a particular number incurved on it, round his waist. He wears well-polished black longboats. A traffic policeman wears a white uniform.

No doubt, his duty is a difficult one but a most important one. He has to maintain law and order, to prevent, thefts, burglaries, robberies, kidnapping, drug trafficking, to prevent crimes and arrest criminals, robbers, thieves and dacoits and to protect life and property. He does all this sometimes at the risk of his own life. At midnight, when everybody is fast asleep, the policeman performs his duties at that time on chowks, crossroads, and other places. He keeps a vigilant eye over unpleasant incidents. He also serves as a spy. He controls the traffic in city streets. He also serves as a guard to government-run banks and high officials as well.

The policeman stands for the government and has all the force of law behind him. Therefore, people obey him. When he arrests them or at the crossroads he puts hands to stop cars. People are not afraid of the physical power of policemen but the power of law he stands. This is why! A few policemen can control huge crowds of people to keep order and peace in the cities.

A Pakistani policeman is virtually uneducated. His attitude towards the public is very unkind and unnatural. The policeman is an extremely important and useful member of the government machinery. Therefore, the responsible, active and educated persons should be recruited in the police. Besides, they should be groomed from the very beginning.
