THE FARMER
It is said that the farmer is the backbone of our society. As you know that Pakistan is an agricultural country and its economy depends upon agriculture. The farmer produces agriculture products. So he is an important figure in our country. His occupation is as old as men’s thought. The major portion of our population is engaged in farming. A farmer plays a vital role in our society and we all are of his gratitude to him because of his selfless services to the mankind.
The poor farmer gets up early in the morning goes to his fields with a pair of bullocks cut the crops, separates the grain and sends corn, fruits, vegetables, seeds, and other products to the market.
The farmer’s wife and the children are laborious and also work together from dawn to dusk without any rest in all the seasons. In other words, his life is a real model of hard work. He feeds us fully but he has not enough food to eat. He wears us well dresses but he has no dress, he makes our bungalows but he has not a shelter. He presents us with fruits and vegetables but he has not enough food to eat. Moreover in our country, the poor farmer is overhead and ears in debt.
The fact is that he is living in very miserable and pitiable conditions.
If our landlords and Government take steps to solve the problems of the poor farmers then no doubt his living standard can be increased and basic needs can be fulfilled.
