THE GAME I LIKE BEST
MY FAVOURITE GAME
CRICKET GAME
Of all the games, I like Cricket best because it is the king of all games. The people of all the strata play and watch this game so am I.
It is a very interesting out-door game. I equally enjoy watching and playing this game. I am also a member of school eleven. Last Monday we played a scheduled match with our as the usual rival team of High School No: 1. Our openers took a good start. One played aggressively while others defensively. Scored fast he paid the price of his being fast and was caught at the boundary. Another opener who was very slow but cautious played with our another batsman and slammed the ground shots. They just maintained the run rate. Unfortunately, the batsman who can one-down was playing nicely but became run out.
The next three batsmen were nothing, one clean-bowled, one stumped and one leg-before wicket. All of the spectators say that our team will be soon out. The score at eighty only.
However, our captain came and played cautiously and slowly. They were just blocking the ball and securing three runs per over. They raised the score to 140. Unluckily, our captain who was raising the score tried to hit the bat and was caught out near the boundary. This brought the end of our inning on the score of 140.
All of the spectators viewed that our team will lose this match because the members of the High School No: 1 team were good batsmen. It was not easy to win as everyone expected it. Our team has two good fast bowlers and one spinner that certainly gave a tough time to them.
The team of High School No: 1 had a rather poor start. Their first wicket fell in very first over at the score of five runs. But their captain came on one-down and cheered up the players and played cautiously. He availed the fullest advantage of every loose delivery. They pulled up the score slowly and gradually. Unfortunately, he was caught behind the stumps by our wicketkeeper.
Every every coming batsman could not confront our bowlers and fell victim to our bowlers. It seemed that this team is destined to defeat but their hope revived when their ninth and tenth player stood on a wicket like a rock and slammed tremendous hits. The game became so sensational that everybody was absorbed in it. The spectators were cheering the batsmen and bowlers and hooting as well. Suddenly one of the players sent the ball to long-on and was caught near the boundary.
The last player struck two excellent sixes. Now they were only 10 runs far from the target but our spinner spun the ball so well that he was caught out and brought the end of their innings.
We won the match and embraced each other joyfully. The match turned as usual victory to our team.
